An ambivert malapert had no misgiving
For missive dismissive toward act of forgiving.
All active forgiving was massively baneful
To wane of ungrateful and bastardly living.
Inscription would rip through insipid incentive,
Equip the deceptive with airhole collective
(If wishes effected an actual essence--
Material presence--on what is prospective).
"Reliably pliant, you're never defiant,
Thoughts idly resign to benevolent giant.
He kindly will bind the ambition for fighting
An idols' beguiling. You're staying compliant.
Behemoth you bow to is powered by absence
Of meaning, sincerity viewed like a nuisance.
The character played by you merits a beating
Till cells are entreating, Please finish the penance.
Facade that you don is dishonoring virtue.
The honesty given by those who won't hurt you
Should really convert to a burst of correction
To cause an exception--have mercy desert you."
I read this like V from V for Vendetta for some reason ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat internal rhyming and alliteration, plus you used one of my favorite words - ambivert :-)
ReplyDelete"ambivert malapert" - that's crazy use of English, and you need every bit of it plus the relentless action verbs to push along the malevolent cloud of bad faith that is usually too ugly to try to express.
ReplyDeleteAwesome poem. I'm going to have to start describing myself as an ambivert malapert. It rhymes and it's fairly accurate for me. :) Thanks for the word lesson! :P
ReplyDeleteI love the colorful language and choice of words. You have quite a masterful vocabulary. :)
