Challenge

She's not enthusiastic
For action that is drastic.
Her fortitude's fantastic--
Immutable, not plastic.

She calms my trepidation
With calm elucidation,
Can stop my consternation
With timely information.

"A testing of the tether
That's holding us together
Is not a sign to sever
Involuntary fetter.

There's no evacuation
Of our association.
Please halt the contemplation
Retarding link duration."

  1. You have captured a moment I can really relate to here and I LOVED the rhymes in the first two stanzas. :)

  2. Ditto. A Nurse Ratchit-like character portrayed with the cold eyes of a killer, acting of course in self-defense. The last two lines may be a bit subtle; I for one at looking for a rope being dragged out to sea to grap onto.

  3. Ouch - too quick typing - meant to say: I for one am looking for a rope being dragged out to sea to grab onto.

  4. I like how both characters receive equal time here....I kept thinking of the language of emergency. This is just a test....no need to panic.
